The Ada Icon reports on a lot of public meetings in Ada but that still only accounts for a small fraction of the public meetings on our Community Calendar. In recent months I've begun reviewing minutes for meetings we don't sent a reporter to, including the library.

The Ada Public Library posts the minutes of the Board of Trustees on its website at https://www.adalibrary.org/about/board/minutes/

The board is comprised of Bethany Spieth, Ann Donnelly Hamilton (vice president), Jenny Gargac, Brandon Fauber (president), Robert Alexander, Melanie Weaver (secretary) and Aaron Morford.

Items of interest from January-July 2025 that have not otherwise been reported in the Icon include:

May - Proposed rotation of play activities in the children's play space.

April - Approval of a $10K supplemental budget appropriation for security cameras and a $3K increase to maintenance and repair for new ethernet switch, server and wireless upgrade.

January - Director Rhett Grant was asked to review the facility use policy regarding commercial use and programming.
