Bulldog volleyball grounded by Pandora-Gilboa
Gym “pink out” hosted in support of breast cancer awareness

ADA__The Ada High School volleyball team lost a three-setter to visiting power Pandora-Gilboa in their Blanchard Valley Conference finale match on Monday, October 6.
The evening also provided an opportunity to support breast cancer research. The Bulldogs sold t-shirts as part of the annual Dig for a Cure event. $2,602.41 was donated to the Kenton-based Not by Choice outreach program.
Ada fell to 14-7 overall and finished 4-6 in the BVC after the 26-24, 25-14, 25-9 defeat.
Pandora-Gilboa improved to 15-5 overall and 8-1 in BVC play with the road sweep. The Rockets are tied for second place in the BVC with Liberty-Benton behind 9-0 Leipsic.
P-G hosts L-B Wednesday in a showdown for second place and a possible share of the league title only if Leipsic is upset at home by a 9-10 Arlington squad Wednesday.
Ada freshman Téa Griffith passed out six assists, smacked six kills, came up with seven digs, dealt two aces and made three blocks.
Junior setter Jaylin St. Laurent passed out 10 assists and hustled up eight digs. Junior Dailah Preston knocked down a pair of kills and came up with four blocks.
Senior Anna Conley knocked down three kills. Junior Brooklynn Andreasen also hit three kills. Senior Alainee Buxton drilled a pair of kills.
Senior Alyssa Madison mustered up 10 digs. Junior Alivia Gibson hustled her way to six digs.
P-G was led by Corrin Luginbill with 16 kills, while Nevaeha Alvarado slammed seven kills. Rocket Kelsie Carlson contributed six kills and dealt a pair of aces.
Setter Cora Hovest passed out 31 assists and served two aces. Ava Huffman added 12 digs.
The Ada junior varsity beat P-G, 2-0.
The Bulldogs finished sixth in the league standings. Van Buren (16-4) is fourth in the tough 11-team BVC at 5-3.
Ada closes out the regular season at home vs. traditional arch-rival Upper Scioto Valley (4-15) on Tuesday, Oct. 7. The Bulldog girls are 3-2 at home. Ada went 8-4 on the road and was 3-1 at neutral sites.
