Here's a postscript to the November 27 article VFW flag retirement ceremony honors the Stars and Stripes. J.D. Fleece, president of the VFW Auxiliary, reports that there were approximately 100 people in attendance and 1,300-1,500 flags retired.

Fleece adds, "This was a group effort with the lead orchestrated by the VFW Auxiliary. Post Commander Mike Lenhart presented the first flag, which Is traditionally folded as the Triangle to the Retirement Flame."
