Ellis Puckett, age 76, of Alger, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Joint Township Hospital, St. Marys.  

He was born on December 15, 1948, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Kelly and Gladys (Hall) Puckett, Sr.   On June 29, 1968, Ellis married Ora (Smith) Puckett, and she preceded him in death on May 5, 2022. 

Ellis is survived by his son, Michael Puckett of Bronston, KY; three daughters: Tracy (Steve) LaPrade of Lima, Wendolyn (Jason Thornsberry) Puckett of St. Marys and Tabitha Slone of Harrod; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; and four siblings: Thurman (Anida) Puckett, Kelly (Dorothy) Puckett, Jr., Donald (Barbara) Puckett, and Barbara (Gary) Williams. 

He was also preceded in death by two brothers: James Puckett and Bill Puckett. 

Ellis was a welder.  He was a member of the LaFayette Missionary Baptist Church, Harrod. Ellis pastored for many years at numerous churches, including LaFayette Missionary Baptist Church. 

Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at LaFayette Missionary Baptist Church, 8230 Anspach Road, Harrod, Ohio 45850.   

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 8, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00  p.m.  at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
