United Way hosts third Student Leadership-United session
MEDIA RELEASE––The United Way of Hardin County held its third Student Leadership-United meeting of the 2025–26 school year on December 3 at Ridgemont High School. The session featured a presentation from Amanda Raines of the Ohio State University Extension Office, who spoke to students about strategies for managing stress.
Student Leadership–United is composed of 24 sophomores representing all six county high schools. The group meets monthly to build leadership skills, explore service opportunities, and gain a deeper understanding of charitable organizations across Hardin County. The program is facilitated by graduates of the 2024 Hardin Leadership class in partnership with the United Way of Hardin County.
“This is the third year for the program, and we are proud to see the continued growth, engagement, and leadership shown by the students,” said Martha Evans-Nau, Executive Director of the United Way of Hardin County.
The program will continue to meet throughout the school year and conclude with a graduation ceremony in May.
