Hardin Co. Sheriff report on Harrod crash that leaves car submerged
Car's occupant exited vehicle safely
FROM FACEBOOK__The Hardin County Sheriff's office issued the following notice at 8:00 p.m. on January 16:
Motorists & others advised to not be alarmed by light from pond!
A single vehicle crash that occurred earlier this evening at 1502 Twp. Rd. 150, Harrod resulted in the vehicle being submerged in a pond. The driver, who was the lone occupant was able to exit the vehicle to safety.
It was determined that divers and the towing & recovery company will return to the scene tomorrow to extract the vehicle from the pond.
While the vehicle is totally submerged in the pond, an active LED light emanating from it, is visible - shining up through the water. Passersby should not be alarmed by the light and attempt to undergo rescue efforts; and it is unnecessary to call 9-1-1 to report it.
