If a snow emergency is declared in Ada
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Saturday-Sunday, January 24-25 with the possibility of 4-7 inches of snow.
The Village of Ada has issued this reminder regarding snow emergencies: Should the Village of Ada, Ohio issue a snow emergency when accumulation of snow is in excess of 4 inches. As such: during the existence of an emergency snow condition, no person shall park a motor vehicle upon the following public streets in the Village, as follows:
No parking shall be permitted on:
- Gilbert Street from Lima Avenue to North Street;
- Johnson Street from Lima Avenue to North Street;
- Simon Street Lima Avenue to North Street;
- Lincoln Avenue from Corporation line to Corporation line;
- Turner Avenue from Main Street to Grand Avenue;
- Montford Avenue from Main Street to Liberty Street,
- Highland Avenue from Gilbert Street to Simon Street,
- Buckeye Avenue from Johnson Street to Grand Avenue and University Avenue from Main Street to Ream Street.
Vehicles parked in violation of this section will be towed at the expense of the owner. The registered owner of a vehicle parked in violation of this section is prima-facie liable. Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor and shall be subject to a fine of not more than one hundred dollars ($100.00).
Please note that emergency snow conditions shall cease to exist upon the removal or melting of the snow accumulation from the Village streets or when the Village Administrator and Chief of Police or their respective designees concur that such emergency has ceased to exist.
We appreciate your assistance in removing vehicles from these streets as street personnel keep our streets passable.
