Bulldog girls seeded 5th, to play local rival

ADA__The Ada High School girls basketball team was seeded fifth in the seven-team Div. VI Northwest 5 district in drawings held on Sunday, February 8.
The Bulldog girls (11-10) will play at third-seeded backyard rival Allen East (11-9) in the first round of tournament play on Thursday, Feb. 19 at 6 p.m. in Harrod.
Separated by about nine miles, the two former long-time league foes have not played in the last two regular seasons after Ada left the Northwest Conference to join the Blanchard Valley Conference.
The Ada/AE survivor will play fourth seed Riverdale (11-7) on Wednesday, Feb. 25 at Lima Senior. The Falcon girls beat visiting Ada 44-30 on December 11.
The district final is Saturday, Feb. 28 at 3 p.m. at Lima Senior.
Parkway (17-3) was seeded second, Minster (17-4) first and Spencerville (14-7) fifth in the loaded bottom half of the draw.
