Owen Christopher Bame worked at Scotts Miracle-Gro
Owen Christopher Bame, 27, of Dunkirk, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026.
He was born on November 11, 1998, to David and Robin (Kurt) Bame and they survive in Rural Dunkirk.
Owen is also survived by his three sons: Wyatt Bame, Kade Bame and Kurt Bame; fiancé, McKenzie Butterman; brothers: Nathan (Leah) Bame and twin brother, Nick Bame; sister, Rylie Bame; maternal grandparents: Robert and Sandy Kurt; paternal step-grandmother, Cinda Bame; and four nephews: Tyson, Luke, Jackson and Maxwell.
Preceding him in death are his paternal grandparents, William and Mary Bame.
Owen worked at Scotts Miracle-Gro Company as an electrician. Owen was a Sergeant in the Army National Guard as an aviation electrician. He served in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Iraq. Owen was an avid sports enthusiast, especially the Buckeyes, Vikings, Guardians and Cavs. Owen loved spending time with his family, especially his boys.
Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Bethel Church of Christ, 4014 County Road 304, Ada, Ohio 45810, with Pastor Rob Breitigam officiating. Burial will be in Dunkirk Cemetery with graveside military services conducted by the Ohio National Guard.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
