Bulldog tennis opens season at Wapak

WAPAKONETA__The Ada High School boys tennis team (which includes girls) served up its season opener with a 4-1 loss at Wapakoneta on Thursday, April 9.
The Bulldog netters start off 0-1, while Wapak improved to 4-1 after the win.
Ada’s junior duo of Brooklyn Andreasen and Jaylin St. Laurent posted the Bulldog win at second doubles over Schadl and Keith by a 6-4, 7-5 score.
At first singles, Redskin Brayden Hooker defeated Bulldog Justin Bowden 6-2, 6-2.
Wapak’s Thomas Finkelmeier III rallied to beat Ada’s Brandon Prater in a tough three-setter 0-6, 7-6, 6-2 at second singles.
Redskin Gavin Gallaspie knocked off Bulldog Samuel Crawford 7-6, 7-5 at third singles.
At first doubles, the Wapak duo of Roberts and Walker beat Lawson Klingler and Lucy Carter 6-0, 6-2.
Ada is slated to host Fostoria in its home opener at the park on Friday, April 10 at 5 p.m.
