257 runners and walkers participate in Wilson event to support Autism Speaks

Results for part one of the Wilson Sporting Goods 5k Run and 1M Walk on May 9 is in the record books: the top three runners crossed the finish line in this order: 1) Joshua Freye of Findlay, Ohio, 2) Kody Logan, of Ada, Ohio, and 3) Ava Katona of Greenwood, Indiana.
The free community event drew 257 runners and walkers who followed a course on the tree-lined streets of Ada near the Wilson Football Factory.
The fundraising effort to help people with autism is still underway. Day of event proceeds for the Autism Speaks organization– including raffle items– totalled $3,865. Donations of 10% of food truck sales are still to be tallied. Donations may be made here.
