Bulldogs advance to regionals in four track events

ADA__Ada High School hosted the Div. V Northwest District track and field meet on Thursday and Saturday, May 21 and 23 at War Memorial Stadium.

KAYLEB HICKMAN
Ada senior Kayleb Hickman finished third in a pair of races to advance to the regional meet in both events this Thursday, May 28.

Hickman was second in the 200-meter dash preliminary heats, and then took third in the 200 finals Saturday with a time of 22.96.

The Bulldog speedster also ended up third in the 400-meter finals with a time of 51.9 after again taking second in the prelims.

Bulldog senior Anna Conley qualified by capturing sixth in the discus with a best toss of 101-11.

GIRLS 4X100
The Bulldog girls 4x100 relay foursome qualified by finishing sixth in 53.1. The team is made up of Kyla Coleman, Charliegh Entinghe, Rose Baxter and Jordyn Smith. Ayliah Kober will be running in place of Kyla Coleman at regionals.

OTHER FINISHERS
Ada sophomore Rose Baxter crossed the line sixth in the girls 400-meter finals with a time of 62.22.

A top-four finish at the district meet in the boys meet, or top six in the girls events qualified an athlete or relay squad to the regionals.

The Ada girls 4x200 relay quartet finished seventh in 1:51.88. 

Sophomore Brier Hannah took eighth in the discus with a best toss of 134-0.

Ada senior speedster Jordyn Smith took eighth in the long jump with a best leap of 15-10.25. She just missed the 100-meter finals by one spot, finishing ninth in the prelims.

The Ada boys 4x100 relay team came in eighth with a time of 46.55.

Senior Braden Smith took 10th in the pole vault at 11-0.

The regional meet is May 28 and May 30 at Fostoria.
