Letter: Invitation to identify Day of Caring projects
By Martha Evans-Nau
Executive Director, United Way of Hardin County
We are looking forward to another United Way Day of Caring! This year marks United Way of Hardin County’s 60th Anniversary, and we are excited to continue doing the Hard-in Work throughout our community.
On August 20, we will kick off our 2026–2027 campaign and then head out to complete projects across Hardin County. Volunteers will be available from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and you may request assistance for the full day, the morning, or the afternoon.
To make Day of Caring a success, we need your help identifying projects that could benefit from volunteer support. Projects can range from yard cleanup and painting to construction projects and everything in between. We know everyone is busy, and sometimes those "I'll get to it later" tasks keep getting pushed down the list. This is a great opportunity to have a few extra hands to help tackle them.
A Google Form link is attached for submitting project requests. If Google Forms aren't your thing, feel free to email the project information directly to me, and I'll be happy to submit it for you.
Thank you for helping us make this year's Day of Caring another great success. We look forward to serving our community together!
