Bulldog boys golf wins Hardin County Invite

KENTON__The Ada High School boys golf team won the five-team Hardin County Invitational tournament by the narrowest of margins at the Kenton Memorial Park Golf Course on Saturday, August 29.
The Bulldogs edged host Kenton by one stroke (174-175) to capture the event title. Riverdale finished third (181), followed by Ridgemont (198), Hardin Northern (216). USV did not field a team.
The Bulldogs improved to 36-3 after winning the tourney.
Ada senior Brody Rister shared tournament medalist honors with Kenton’s Oliver Sneary. Each shot a nine-hole score of 40.
Bulldog Case Vieira finished third, one stroke off the pace with a 41.
Sophomore Arden Shook came in fifth after carding a 43. Brooklyn Rister posted a round of 50 as the fourth Ada scorer.
Senior Lawson Klingler shot 55, while Max Baumgartner added a 56.
Falcons Collin Vent and Carter Vent each shot 44 to pace Riverdale. Charles Wingfield led the Gophers with a 46. Cody Thiel was the top HN linkster, shooting 48.
