LIMA__The unbeaten Ada High School volleyball team dropped the first set, but came back to beat Lima Temple Christian on the road in a four-set match on Thursday, September 3.

Ada improved to 6-0 with the 16-25, 26-24, 25-20, 25-12 non-league victory.

LTC dropped to 4-4 after the home defeat.

“We had a slower start than we would have liked, but I thought the girls did a nice job of settling in and competing,” said Ada head coach Kylie Murphy. “Defensively, we took care of the ball and kept rallies alive, which allowed us to make adjustments offensively and stay in the match.

“Proud of the way they competed throughout the four sets,” she added. “It was a good win.”

Ada sophomore Tea Griffith amassed 16 digs, 19 assists, seven kills and two aces. Classmate Lucy Carter hustled up 14 digs and served a pair of aces.

Senior Jaylin St. Laurent doled out 17 assists, made three digs and served one ace.

Senior Dailah Preston drilled a team-high 13 kills and came up with one block.

Senior Brooklynn Andreasen slammed 11 kills, made five digs, dealt two aces and had one block.

Senior Alivia Gibson mustered 17 digs and hammered four kills. Taylor Price hustled her way to 10 digs, while Harlyn Lowry made five digs.

Jaycee Allen came up with eight digs and hit two kills. Haylyn Geiger contributed one kill and a dig.

The undefeated Bulldogs host Hardin County rival Hardin Northern (3-3) Saturday morning. Ada is 2-0 at home this season.
