Marketing your product, success and failures: entrepreneur workshop Sept. 26
The Community Economic Development Center (CEDC) at Ohio Northern University opens its 2013-14 entrepreneurship workshop series in the Dicke Forum on Thursday, Sept. 26. The workshop will be preceded by a networking event at 5:30 p.m. The workshop will follow the networking event and conclude at 7 p.m.
The topic of the workshop will be “Marketing your product, success and failures. Making the Milestone system work” with Dennis D. Stripe. This event is free and open to the public.
Stripe, who graduated from ONU in 1979 with a bachelor of arts in marketing, is president of OrthoHelix Surgical Designs, a division of Tornier, a global medical device company. OrthoHelix was acquired by Tornier in October 2012. Prior to the acquisition, Stripe was named CEO of OrthoHelix in July 2008, and he served on the Board of Directors.
Stripe has more than 30 years of medical device experience, with 23 years in the orthopedic sector, in various senior management positions. Stripe has been instrumental in building the OrthoHelix organization and growing its business through a focus on balanced team building.
As an experienced executive in the orthopedic implant market, he has knowledge of most market segments. Prior to joining OrthoHelix, Stripe held several positions at Stryker Corp. within their spine implant division, progressing from general manager of the U.S. business to vice president of global marketing.
