Cross country: ONU team 10th an All-Ohio

The Ohio Northern women's cross country team finished 10th of 21 teams at the All-Ohio Championships hosted by Cedarville on Friday.
Northern had 314 points in the 21 team field.
Oberlin finished first with 54 points, No. 31 Case Western was second with 66 and Mount Union was third with 70.
Oberlin's Molly Martorella won the meet in 22:13.96.
Sophomore Kara Sosinski led the Polar Bears across the finish line, completing the 6,000-meter course in 24:38.39, which placed her 39th.
Junior Brittany Lang finished 61st in 25:19.66 and junior Catie Huber finished 66th, crossing the finish line in 25:46.91.
Junior Julie Puvogel finished 73rd with a time of 25:59.60.
"This was a tough meet with a very deep field," head coach Jason Maus said. "While things did not go the best, we were able to see some great competition that will make us stronger for the rest of our season."
Ohio Northern will return to action on Oct. 19 at the Oberlin Rumble, which begins at 10:45 am.
