Disney in Concert coming to Freed Center Oct. 19
Ohio Northern University’s Freed Center for the Performing Arts will present “Disney in Concert: Magical Music from the Movies” with the Ohio Northern University Symphony on Oct. 19 at 8:30 p.m.
Individuals can relive the magic of their favorite Disney movies when celebrated vocalists accompanied by the ONU Symphony perform music from “Beauty and the Beast,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Mary Poppins,” “Aladdin,” “The Lion King” and “Pocahontas.” Rare original storyboard art and video from the Disney archives projected on a big screen help bring these memorable melodies to life.
Sherilyn Draper serves as the director and writer for Disney in Concert and Ted Ricketts is serving as the musical director. The ONU Symphony is under the direction of Lloyd Butler.
Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and $5 for children. Tickets are $10 for ONU faculty and staff and $5 for ONU students. The Freed Center box office is open Monday through Friday from noon to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Phone orders are accepted with American Express, MasterCard, VISA or Discover by calling 419-772-1900.
