Harold Henry was a 1955 Ada High School graduate
Harold W. Henry, 75, died on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013 at 5 a.m. at Lima Memorial Health Systems, Lima.
He was born on Dec. 6, 1937 in Bluffton, Ohio, to the late Leonard H. and Flossie L. (Hartman) Henry. On June 2, 1957 he married Clarice M. Jump who survives in Ada.
Mr. Henry was a 1955 graduate of Ada High School. He was a lifelong member of the Bethel Church of Christ. He was a retired farmer, co-owner of the B&H Garage and the Sohio Station in Ada and he previously worked at Excello in Bluffton.
He had his pilot's license and was a State of Ohio Motorcycle Champion in the 1960's.
Mr. Henry is survived by three daughters: Rhonda (Lon) Chaney of Colfax, N.C., Janice (David) Michel of West Liberty and Nancy (Brian) Lucas of Ada; a son, Jim (Kelly) Henry of Ada; seven grandchildren: Jay Henry, Nicole Lucas, Kristin (John) Duta, Jon Henry, Jennifer (Trey) Richardson, Steven Chaney and Bailey Henry; six great grandchildren: Kylie, Carmela, Levi, Zoey, Easton and Kamryn; one sister, Twila (Robert) Wagner, a brother, Delbert (JoAnn) Henry and a brother-in-law, Robert Daft all of Ada; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four grandchildren: Kelly, Joshua, Jedd and Matthew and a sister, Edith Daft.
A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14, at Bethel Church of Christ, 4014 County Road 304, Ada, with Minister Brandon Mayden officiating. Burial will be in Dola Cemetery, Dola.
Friends may call 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Church of Christ, Ada.
