Five Polar Bears named Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference in Men's Cross Country

Five Ohio Northern student/athletes were named Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference in men's cross country for the 2013 season.
Seniors Tyler Feitshans and Mathew Johnson, juniors Nathan Rosenbaum and Dan Steigerwald and sophomore William Huddleston all received the honor.
The award winners must be a sophomore or higher in class standing, maintain varsity status and have a cumulative grade-point-average of at least 3.50.
Feitshans is a three-year letterman and earned All-OAC honors with a ninth place finish at this year's OAC Championships.
He had 10 top-7 finishes in 24 career races and finished second on the team this season with a career-low 26:03 for 8,000 meters.
Johnson Had four top-7 finishes in six races this fall and was sixth on the team with a season-low 26:29.
He is a three-year letterman and competed in 21 career races with eight career top-7 finishes.
Rosenbaum will represent Ohio Northern at the NCAA III Championships on Saturday after posting an eighth place finish at the NCAA III Great Lakes Regional Championships on Nov. 16.
He is a three-time All-Conference performer and earned All-Great Lakes Regional honors this season.
He was the fastest man on the squad this season with a career-low 25:27 for 8,000 meters, which ranks him 13th all-time in ONU history.
Steigerwald is a three-year member of the ONU varsity and had a career-low 27:27 this fall while competing in three varsity races.
Huddleston competed in six varsity races this season and ranked ninth on the team with a season-low 8k time of 26:44.
The Polar Bears posted their 15th consecutive winning season with a 102-17 record and finished second at the OAC Championships under fifth-year head coach Jason Maus.
The runner-up finish in the OAC marks the eighth consecutive year that the Ohio Northern men have finished second or better at the league championships meet.
