Funeral services for Odie Mullins on Friday
Odie Mullins, 84, died on Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013 at 7:44 p.m. at Lima Memorial Health Systems, Lima.
She was born on Feb. 25, 1929, in Magoffin County, Ky., to Elijah and Millie (Shepherd) Joseph, who preceded her in death. On Dec. 9, 1949, she married Sam Mullins and he died June 17, 2007.
Mrs. Mullins was a homemaker. Surviving are three sons: Sam (Susie) Mullins, Jr., of Ada, Larry (Bernice) Mullins of Shawnee and Rick (Robin) Mullins of Ada; four daughters: Carmenel Mullins of McGuffey, Deb Mullins of McGuffey, Barb (Travers) Baker of Ada, and Rita (Dan) Steinberger of Ada; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; a brother Claude (Jule) Joseph of McGuffey; two sisters: Edna Miller of Kokomo, Ind., and Ellerie (Carl) Richardson of McGuffey.
She was preceded in death by a son, James Douglas Mullins; a daughter Avanell Prater and son-in-law, Clarence Prater; three brothers: Clyde, Coet and Corbet Joseph; two sisters: Goldie Calvert and Ada Hopkins.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 20, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger with Pastor Donald Holbrook officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
Friends may call 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 19, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger, and until time of service on Friday at the funeral home.
