ONU adds three to football coaching staff
The Ohio Northern football program has added three new coaches to its staff and has made several position coaching changes for the fall of 2014, 11th-year head coach Dean Paul announced.
Former ONU assistant coach Glenn Scheutzow returns to serve as co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach, E.J. Henderson comes to ONU from Urbana to coach the wide receivers and be the co-offensive coordinator and Pat Lambert comes from Cincinnati to serve as strength and conditioning coach.
Current assistant coach Mike Schmitz will move to the role of offensive coordinator and will coach the quarterbacks, Bob Rohan will now coach the defensive line and Brad Watkins will coach the running backs.
Scheutzow is in his second stint at Ohio Northern after serving as defensive line coach from 2005-12. He was the defensive line coach at Tiffin in 2013 before returning to ONU in the spring of 2014.
Scheutzow also served as the head coach of the ONU men's tennis program from 2006-8 and guided the Polar Bears to three OAC Regular Season championships, two OAC Tournament titles, two NCAA Tournament appearances and was named the OAC Men's Tennis Coach of the Year in 2007 and 2008.
