The Voices of Ohio hold First United Methodist benefit concert July 28

The Voices of Ohio
Benefit Concert for
Ada First United Methodist Church
July 28 at 7:00 p.m.

March 13 was a day of shock and change for Ada First United Methodist Church
when the members’ beloved church burned down.  Two members of this
congregation, Melanie Woods and Michele Elliott, are also members of The
Voices of Ohio, an exciting and dynamic adult performing vocal ensemble.

To help Ada First, the ensemble has volunteered to perform a benefit concert
on July 28 at 7:00 in the Ada School Auditorium.

The Voices of Ohio provides a fun-filled, family-friendly show that delights
audiences of all ages.  Included in its repertoire are Depression era
standards (A Shanty in Old Shanty Town ), big band numbers (Sentimental
Journey), an Elvis number from the 1950s (Heartbreak Hotel), pop numbers from
the 1970s (We’ve Only Just Begun, Everything I Own), hits from the Broadway
stage (medley from the Tony winning “Jersey Boys”), today's new country
(In My Daughter’s Eyes), pop music from today's Top 40 (Unwritten), songs
of hope and inspiration (How Great Thou Art, My Tribute and You Raise Me Up),
and a red-white-and-blue star-spangled finale (God Bless America/America the
Beautiful).

A freewill offering will be taken to benefit the rebuilding efforts of the
church.

Additionally, congregations and groups that have made contributions to Ada
First will be recognized during the evening.

Put July 28 at 7:00 on your calendar, tell all of your friends, and then fill
the car to come to the performance.  You can help rebuild Ada First United
Methodist Church.
