William J. "Bill" Allen
William J. "Bill" Allen, age 78, died Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at 11:27 pm at Birchaven Village in Findlay, Ohio.
On March 12, 1934 in Magoffin County, KY. he was born to John and Betty (Shepard) Allen who preceded him in death. On December 21, 1953 he married Ruth Lines and she preceded him in death on March 26, 1999 after being married for 45 years.
Bill retired as an accountant. In the spring of 1953, Bill joined the Air Force. He was a Jehovah’s Witness.
Surviving are a son, Steve (Anna) Allen of Richwood; four daughters: Rhonda (Jeff) Noel of Arcadia, Elizabeth (Robert) Henry of Belton, TX., Deborah Sons and Erica Allen both of Kenton; Twelve Grandchildren and Five Great Grandchildren with two on the way; four sisters: Belva Flowers of Wharton, Ethel Hensel of Huron, Carol Ruhlen of Dunkirk and Mary Rothlisberger of Mt. Blanchard.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
It was his wish to be cremated. A visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger, with a prayer service to be held 11: 50 AM on Saturday.
Inurnment will take place at a later date in Roundhead Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Bridge Home Health and Hospice of Findlay.
