John “Fred” Hubbell served in the Korean Conflict
John F. “Fred” Hubbell, 75, died on Monday, Dec. 1, 2014, at 5:03 p.m. at Richland Manor Nursing Home, Bluffton.
He was born on July 15, 1939, in Hardin County to John E. and Margaret Lucille (Firestone) Hubbell and they preceded him in death. He married Sharon K. Simons on Aug. 23, 1969 and she survives in Alger.
Mr. Hubbell worked as an electrician for Ford Motor Company, Lima retiring in 1999 after working for 27 years. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran who served during the Korean Conflict.
Also surviving are five children: Kevin (Victoria) Page of Columbus, Stacy (Lucy) Hubbell of Lemoore, Calif., Randy (Kimberly) Page of Ada, Kelly (Pete) Hillman of Belle Center and James (Lara) Hubbell of Wildomar, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two brothers: Tom (Janet) Hubbell of Ada and Larry Hubbell of Lakeview; a sister, Nancy Wagner of Lima.
He was preceded in death by a son, John Christopher Hubbell on May 13, 2012.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 4, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada.
Graveside services will begin at noon) on Friday, Dec. 5, at Woodlawn Cemetery Chapel, Ada, with military services conducted by the Ada VFW Post #9381 Honor Guard.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Health Professionals – Hospice of Ada.
