Michael James Royle was born in England
Michael James Royle, 81, died Dec. 5, 2014, at his home in Ada, Ohio with his family by his side.
Mr. Royle was born April 23, 1933, in Manchester, England, to Sydney and Margaret Royle. After schooling, he joined the British Army for four years. He then traveled to America where he joined the United States Navy. He spent 20 years in the Naval Submarine Service, becoming a Chief before retiring in 1984 as a veteran. He then worked as a Civil Service employee on nuclear submarines.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Kathleen (Martin) Royle. They were married Dec. 19, 1970; his children: Jennifer (Drew) Hiester of Ada, Andrew (Lindsey) Royle of Charleston, S.C., and Alexa Royle of Frankfort, Ky.; and three grandchildren, Megan, Olivia and AJ. Also surviving is a twin brother, Antony (Sandra) Royle of England.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret, his father Sydney and step-father, Len Cappola.
It was his wish to be cremated and there will be no services.
