Jamie Hall will serve as CIC presidents in 2016
Jami Hall, Ada’s assistant village administrator, was elected president of the Ada Community Improvement Corp. (CIC) at CIC’s reorganization meeting on Jan. 20.
Hall replaces Jim Meyer, Ada village administrator, who served as CIC president for several years. Meyer is now vice-president of CIC. Eileen Peterman was elected secretary and Angela Polachek, treasurer.
Several items related to Ada were topics at the Jan. 20 meeting. These included an update on the Ada municipal waste water facility, municipal swimming pool, Van crest of Ada, Mercy Health Ada Family Medicine office, and the new Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance website.
CIC members in addition to the officers listed are Crystal Huffer, Deb Curlis, Beth Fenton, Terry Keiser, Dick Lawrence, Bryan Marshall, David Retterer, Norm Rex, Fred Steiner and Don Traxler.
According to the Ohio Revised Code, community improvement corporations serve as economic development arms for the governmental body they serve. In that way, a CIC advances, encourages and promotes industrial, economic, commercial and civic development in a community.
CIC meetings are open to the public and take place at noon on the third Wednesday of each month in McIntosh Center on the ONU campus.
