Hardin County plant sale May 7 at fairgrounds arts and crafts building
Several Hardin County garden organizations will be participating in the 13th Annual Hardin County Plant Sale.
This event is scheduled for Saturday, May 7, in the Arts & Crafts building at the fairgrounds. There will be browsing and coffee available from 8:30 – 9 a.m. with the actual sale running from 9 a.m. – noon.
Food and drinks will be available during this event. Proceeds from this annual plant sale benefit the activities and programs of the various garden groups represented.
A large selection of perennials and annuals will be available for the homeowner to use to beautify the landscaping around their property.
Plants available to choose from include flowers, bedding plants, roses, herbs, trees, and various other potted plants. This year there will also be water lilies and other water plants available.
In addition to making healthy plants available to the public, there will be several volunteers on site to answer gardening questions and provide advice for possible landscaping and beautification projects.
The annual plant sale is sponsored by the OSU Extension Hardin County Master Gardeners in conjunction with Hardin County Garden Clubs and Societies.
Groups offering plants for sale in addition to the Master Gardeners include the Men’s Garden Club, Millstream Rose Society, Northwest Ohio Garden Pond Society, Roots and Shoots Garden Club, and the Herb Society. Dailey’s Daylilies will also have a booth at this annual plant sale.
