Ada Depot garden tour
A little drizzle doesn't stop gardeners from gardening or learning more about plants.
During a light shower last week the members of the Kenton Garden Club toured the Ada Depot gardens. Gardener Monty Siekerman explained how the downtown garden originated and told about some of the plants.
There are more than 100 varieties of annuals and perennials. Some of his new favorites this year include banana tree and pentas.
Club members are President Donna Cavalier (seated left), Kathy Montogomery (guest), Phyllis Hatcher, Rose Zuchetto, Beverly Zimmerman, Roberta Flinn, Janet Jones, Marcia Dean, Jill Simmons, and Eve Johnson-Timmerman.
Clubs or organizations wanting to tour the garden may call Monty at 419-303-3439.
