Afghan law students prepare at ONU for competition

Law students from a university in Afghanistan listen to panelists from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces at the law school here on Wednesday.
There are three teams of Afghan law students here this week preparing for the Jessup Law Competition in Washington, D.C.
The Jessup Competition is the largest in the world involving 550 law schools from 87 countries. Support for the Afghan program comes from the ONU Center for Democratic Governance and Rule of Law. Howard Fenton is center director.
Mara Smith is program administrator, traveling from ONU to Kabul several times a year.
