Local hurricane help delivered
Saundra Neely delivered several donations for Hurricane Harvey aid to the North Central Ohio Chapter of the Red Cross serving Hancock, Crawford, Hardin, Marion, Monroe, Seneca, Union and Wyandot Counties located in Findlay.
One donation was a check from Ada's Junior Civic League representing part of the proceeds from the group's annual pecans sales. These sales will be starting again this fall with delivery in November. Pecans can be ordered at the JCL booth at the Ada Harvest and Herb Fest.
Accepting the donations are (L to R) Karl Gingrich, disaster workforce engagement volunteer partner; Adam Warnement, disaster program manager; Mrs. Neely, JCL secretary, a member of the Hardin County Red Cross Leadership Council, also a Red Cross volunteer and water safety instructor; and Cheryl Wolfe, operations coordinator for the local Red Cross chapter.
To make a donation, text HARVEY to 90999 to donate $10, or visit www.recross.org for more choices of how to donate.
Also, Mrs. Neely will accept donations and hand carry them to the chapter office. Checks may be made out to the Red Cross (on memo line please put Hurricane Harvey) and brought to her home (419-634-3786) or dropped off at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home in Ada.
