OAC Player of the Week is ONU guard
Senior guard Nate Burger (Dayton/Alter) has been named the Men's Basketball Ohio Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 19-26.
The senior earned the honor for the first time in his career.
Burger led the Polar Bears to a 2-1 week, averaging a team-best 26.7 points per contest, dishing out 20 assists and adding 10 steals during the week.
After scoring 30 points in a season-opening victory over Defiance, Burger followed up the performance with a career-high 33 points in a heartbreaking 77-73 loss to No. 9-ranked Washington (Mo.).
Northern returns to action on Wednesday evening at 8 pm as it hosts Alma (Mich.) in the nightcap of a double header with the ONU women's basketball team.
