Sophomore Nate Barcaskey (Moon Township, Pa./Moon Area) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Week.

Barcaskey earned his second career OAC Wrestler of the Week nod and first this season.

The sophomore led the Polar Bears to a second place finish at the 37th Annual ONU Invitational on Saturday and had a solid performance in a dual meet with Baldwin Wallace on Tuesday evening

Barcaskey got a pair of third-period take downs to rally for a 4-2 victory over No. 8-ranked Gabe Mahaney at Heavyweight in Northern dual meet with BW.

At the ONU Invitational, Barcaskey went 5-0 with three pins to win the Heavyweight title at the ONU Invitational.

Northern returns to the mat on Tuesday evening at 7:30 pm as it travels to Alliance to take on No. 22-ranked Mount Union.
