Women's track and field picked to win OAC
The Ohio Northern women's indoor track and field team has been picked finish first in the Ohio Athletic Conference standings in a poll voted on by the leagues 10 head coaches, released Friday morning.
The Polar Bears received 77 votes in the poll, including six of the 10 first place votes.
Mount Union finished second in the poll with 73 points and the four remaining first place votes, while Otterbein rounded out the top-3 with 67 points.
The Polar Bears were narrowly edged by the Purple Raiders at the indoor OAC Championships a season ago.
Northern is set to open its 2018 campaign on Saturday, Jan. 20 as it competes in the OAC Split Meet, hosted by Baldwin Wallace.
