ONU senior Matt Molinaro (Sterling Heights, Mich./DeLaSalle)  has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Track Athlete of the Week.

The senior earned the honor for the the second time in his career.

Molinaro excelled at the SPIRE Institute Midwest Track & Field Open where he posted a first place finish in the 1-mile run.

Molinaro edged the field composed of Div. II and III athletes in the event, winning the race in a career-fastest time of 4:14.16.

The Polar Bears will return to action Saturday morning as they host the annual Joe Banks Invitational on the ONU Sports Center Fieldhouse with field events beginning at 11 a.m.
