Borger and team honored for academics
ONU senior Bobby Borger (Perrysburg) has been named a United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches of America Individual All-Academic recipient, while the men's cross country team earned the Team All-Academic Award.
The Polar Bears (126-37 overall) earned the team honor for the second consecutive season under ninth-year head coach Jason Maus.
Borger, a 2017 First Team All-OAC honoree and 2017 All-Great Lakes Region honoree, earned the individual honor for the first time in his career.
The senior helped guide the Polar Bears to their third consecutive Ohio Athletic Championship in 2017 and a 19th place finish at the 2017 Div. III National Championships.
