ONU men finish 9th of 18 teams
WESTERVILLE — The Ohio Northern men's indoor track and field team finished ninth at the All-Ohio Championships on Saturday at Otterbein's Clements Recreation Center.
The Polar Bears (21-12 overall), scored 25 points to finish ninth of 18 teams.
Mount Union won the meet with 143 points, Case Western Reserve was second with 96 points and Ohio Wesleyan was third with 54 points.
Junior Spencer Schulze (St. Henry) and freshman Sam Krabacher (Hamilton/Badin) had the top individual performances for ONU.
Schulze was third in the 5000-meter run in 15;32.11 and Krabacher was third in the 800 in 1:57.86.
Senior Sam Boyd (Killbuck/West Holmes) was eighth in the 5k in 15:54.94.
The 4x400 relay team of sophomore Jared Butcher (Mechanicsburg), ffeshman Jared Fox (Fremont/Ross), freshman Gabe Dauch (Norwalk/St. Paul ) and senior All-American Matt Molinaro (Sterling Heights, Mich./DeLaSalle) won the race in 3:25.24.
Senior Logan Perry (Sunbury/Big Walnut), Fox, senior Ian McKee (Medina) and freshman Travis Sutter (Fort Recovery) wrapped up the scoring for ONU, finishing seventh in the distance medley relay in 10:56.70.
The Polar Bears will return to action next Saturday at the Kenyon Classic.
