Richards wins = OAC Women’s Track Star of the Week
For the second consecutive week, ONU senior Emily Richards (Delaware/Hayes) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week after a historic 800-meter race at the Grand Valley State (Mich.) Big Meet on Saturday.
Richards earned the honor for the second time this season.
After posting the third fastest time in Div. III history in the 800-meter run two weekends ago, Richards followed her performance up with an even more impressive race at the GVSU Big Meet.
The senior won the 800-meter run, re-broke her school record in the event, posted the fastest time in Div. III history in the event, winning in a record 2:05.28.
She currently owns the fastest time in the event amojg Div. III athletes by more than five seconds.
Northern returns to action on Saturday as they travel Gambier to compete in the Kenyon Classic.
