Swim, dive coaches win honors
AKRON — Sophomore Lauren Halle (Chandler, Ariz./Hamilton) won the 200 fly in convincing fashion, leading the Ohio Northern women on the third and final day of the 2018 Ohio Athletic Conference Swimming & Diving Championships on Saturday at the University of Akron's Ocasek Natatorium.
Halle won the 200 fly in 2:08.28, touching a full 3.43 seconds ahead of her nearest competitor for her second championships title of the meet.
The Ohio Northern coaching staff, led by 14th-year head coach Peggy Ewald, was named the Co-OAC Women's Coaching Staff of the Year.
The top three finishers in each individual event and the top two relay teams in each event earn All-Conference honors.
Ohio Northern finished fourth of five teams with 561.5 points.
