Cramer finishes 3rd at OAC Golf Championship
WEST LAFAYETTE — Freshman Lydia Cranmer (Farmington Hills, Mich./Ladywood) and senior Raven Venegas (Lima/Central Catholic) earned All-Conference honors to lead the Ohio Northern women's golf team at the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships Friday-Sunday at River Greens Golf Course.
The Polar Bears (27-18 overall) finished fifth of eight teams with a 54-hole total of 354-336-340—1030.
The top 14 individuals and ties earned All-Conference accolades.
Cranmer finished third out of 40 golfers on the par 73, 5811-yard course course with an 83-80-82—245. Cranmer was on the leader board the entire tournament as she was second after 18 holes and third after the second round.
Venegas battled back from a first round 91 to shoot 82-82 over the final 36 holes to finish tied for 13th with a 255 to earn All-OAC kudos.
This marks the fifth consecutive season that ONU placed at least two golfers on the All-OAC team.
