Gabby Stewart—hitter of the week
ONU sophomore Gabby Stewart (Union, Ky./St. Henry) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Softball Hitter of the Week for her efforts during ONU's 5-1 week.
Stewart earned the honor for the first time this season and the second time in her career.
The sophomore made the most of her time at the plate this week, racking up a .529 batting average, adding 11 RBI, three doubles and a home run during six games for the Polar Bears.
In the second contest of ONU's double header sweep over Capital this week, Stewart was 3-for-3 with two RBI, two runs scored, two doubles, a home run and seven RBI to lead ONU in the victory.
ONU will be back in action Wedneday at 3 p.m. as it travels to Berea for a double header at Baldwin Wallace.
