ONU junior Kaitlin Surdej (Lancaster) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference's Softball Pitcher of the Week.

Surdej earned the honor after the Polar Bears (24-4 overall, 10-2 OAC) went a perfect 4-0 last week.

The junior tossed two complete games for ONU, posting victories in each contest to win her tenth and eleventh victories this season.

She posted a 1.08 ERA during the week and struck out ten batters and now ranks second in the OAC with a 2.35 ERA and 11 victories.
