Softball now 27-7
ADA — The Ohio Northern softball team picked up a 3-1 victory in game one before falling 8-1 in the nightcap and clinched the No. 3 seed in the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament on Saturday afternoon on Senior Day in the 2018 home regular season finale on Saturday afternoon.
The Polar Bears move to 27-7 overall, and 13-5 in the OAC, while the Muskies move to 24-10, 10-8.
Heidelberg swept Wilmington in a twinbill earlier today and moved its conference record to 13-5. Due to tie breaker rules, Heidelberg will own the No. 2 seed in next weekend's OAC Tournament.
The Polar Bears honored seniors Jenna Hollar (Lima/Bath), Leanna Henry (West Jefferson), Miranda Huddle (Versailles), and Kirsten Lightel (Tallmadge) prior to the contest during its Senior Day festivities.
