Women’s tennis has done well, until now
OBERLIN — A rainy afternoon in Northeast Ohio forced the Ohio Northern women's tennis team indoors, where host Oberlin posted an 8-1 victory at Heisman Field House on Tuesday.
The Polar Bears fall to 18-5 overall, while the No. 11 regionally ranked Yeowomen improve to 14-8.
Senoir Lynn Kelly (Mason) led Ohio Northern with a 6-2, 7-5 victory at No. 2 singles.
Junior Ashley Ochsenhirt (Birmingham, Ala./Briarwood Christian) and freshman Sabine Worthoff (West Chester/Mount Notre Dame) lost tighty-contested singles matches at Nos. 1 and 3, repsecitvely, by third-set tiebreakers.
