There's a catfish worth $100 at Sunday's fishing derby
The annual Liberty Conservation Club fishing derby will be held Sunday and, if you are lucky enough to catch a tagged catfish named Big Liberty, you win $100. Other fish are tagged, as well, for prizes ranging from money to items donated by local businesses, such as pizza.
About 500 fish have been added to the lake this week, including trout, bass, bluegill, and catfish.
Derby setup begins at 9 a.m., children fish from 12:30-1:30, adults fish from 2-5 p.m.
Family memberships are $20 for the year. Memberships can be purchased at the derby.
