Slagle Lumber Co., on West Buckeye
The Slagle Lumber Company was located at 119 West Buckeye Avenue, Ada, just west of the Opera House and continued to the corner of North Gilbert Street.
It became the Root King Lumber Company from 1931-1941 then Mr. King bought out his partner Mr. Root and it was called King Lumber Company from 1941-1954.
It then became Steinman Lumber Company from 1954 to 1971 and Ada Lumber Company in 1972. Amburgey Construction owned the building until 2003 and the Ada Village now owns the property. All but the right hand corner is gone and the rest is now a parking lot.
