New pond ready for rain
Here’s a new retention pond dug just south of The Inn at ONU. The pond was empty Friday afternoon but it won’t take long to fill, if the weather forecasts are accurate. Thanks to tropical depression Gordon, Ada can expect 3 to 5 inches of rain from Saturday afternoon through Monday morning. There are flash flood warnings in this area, as well. The pond is part of the storm sewer project that has been under construction the past few months. The storm sewer pipe runs north and south on campus near Heterick Library, McIntosh Center, and The Inn
