Ramp closure in Findlay starts April 29
As part of the Interstate 75 reconstruction and widening project in the city of Findlay, the following ramps at the interchange of U.S. 68/state Route 15 and Lima Avenue are expected to close Monday, April 29, for approximately three weeks for roundabout construction.
- U.S. 68/state Route 15 southbound to Lima Avenue westbound
- Lima Avenue eastbound to U.S. 68/state Route 15 southbound
The above ramps are located on the west side of U.S. 68/state Route 15, toward the airport. Traffic will be detoured onto state Route 12 and county Road 9 back to Lima Avenue. When the ramps reopen, they will travel in a new formation along portions of the future roundabout in the area.
The ramps on the east side of U.S. 68/state Route 15, toward Cooper Tire, will remain open currently. When the ramps on the west side of the highway reopen, the ramps on the east side of the highway will close for approximately three weeks, also for roundabout construction.
The new ramp configurations will allow U.S. 68/state Route 15 to be shifted from its existing alignment onto temporary pavement, which is necessary for crews to begin work on a bridge structure that will carry the mainline lanes of U.S. 68/state Route 15 over the Lima Avenue roundabout.
