Ada Track Records: April 1994- Three boys track records from the 1960s still stand at Ada High School:
Dennis Burris holds the 110 meter high hurdle record of 14.6 seconds set in 1964.
Richard Conley has the discus record of 165’.5” in 1967.
Brian Peppler holds the 800 meter run mark of 1:56.9 set in 1968.
Becky Pelger made Ada High School history this month when she was the first Bulldog girl to sigh a track scholarship with a Division I school, University of Miami.
Richard Conley was the first track athlete at Ada to sign with a Division I school. He went to the University of Kentucky on a 4-year scholarship. He broke UK’s discus record as a freshman. During the Southeast Conference Championships his senior year, Conley broke the conference discus record with a toss of 179 feet plus a few inches.
