Disc golf Team Mojo of Bucyrus organized a May 4 Star Wars Day tournament, which served as the first ever Bluffton Open at the village's Bluffton Hospital Disc Golf Course.
According to Bluffton Disc Golf association member Neil Hauenstein, “the Force was with Josh Budwit of Ada, who navigated two rounds at 21 strokes under par to win the top division. His round included an ace on hole number 6.”
Hauenstein reports that there were 100 disc golfers from all over Ohio, Indiana and Michigan at the Village Park for the event. Online registration for the contest saw all 100 spots sold within 5 minutes.
